Built only for small engine repair

We only build for small engine repair shops.
That’s the whole company.

Most software in this space wasn’t built for you. It was built for auto shops and lightly reskinned. Or it was built for generic home-service contractors and tries to lump you in with plumbers and HVAC. We looked at the small engine repair world and realized nobody was building for how these shops actually run — mobile and storefront, wildly seasonal, one or two techs deep, relationship-driven. So we built EngineGuild.

The story

It started the way a lot of small businesses start — with a shop owner complaining.

A mechanic we knew was running a mobile small engine repair operation out of his truck, servicing lawnmowers in April, snowmobiles in January, and everything in between. He was using a paper notebook for jobs, a separate voicemail box for the shop line, Square for payments, and a Google Sheet for his “customer list.” The spring rush was eating him alive. He was losing jobs to missed calls he didn’t even know he was missing.

We asked the obvious question: why is there no CRM built for small engine shops? And the obvious answer was: nobody bothered.

So we built it — on top of a proven full-stack marketing and CRM platform — and white-labeled every workflow, template, automation, and piece of language around the reality of small engine work. Not auto. Not HVAC. Not “home services” in general. Just small engine repair.

Our mission

Help small engine repair shops grow affordably, with tools built for how they actually work.

A notebook on the passenger seat. A phone in a greasy hand. A carburetor on the bench. That’s the world we build for.

We don’t want to be a general-purpose platform. We want to be the one system every small engine shop in North America uses because it feels like it was made for them.

What we believe

Four things we won’t compromise on.

Niche-only wins.

Generic CRMs don’t know what a carb rebuild is. They don’t understand the spring rush or the summer lull. They can’t configure route days for a mobile mechanic without three plugins. We pick the niche, go deep, and build software that speaks your language.

Shop owners aren’t desk workers.

Our UI is built for someone standing over a mower with one gloved hand. Big buttons. Clear text. Fast workflows. Zero clicks where one will do.

Automation beats willpower.

Every shop owner has promised themselves they’ll follow up on quotes, ask for reviews, and call back last year’s customers. Nobody does it consistently in April when the phone is ringing off the hook. So we automate it — once, forever.

Fair pricing, always.

No bloated bundles. No paying for features you’ll never touch. Flat platform price, usage-based add-ons, and a demo where we talk straight about what a typical month costs.

The team

Specialists, not generalists.

We’re a small team of software operators, marketing strategists, and customer-success folks who spend our time talking to small engine shop owners. A few of us grew up in trade-adjacent families — the kind of household where the shop’s phone line was also the kitchen phone. That perspective shows up in how we build.

We’re hiring specialists who care about this niche, not generalists chasing the next shiny vertical. If you’ve run or worked in a small engine repair shop and you want to help build the software you wish had existed, we want to hear from you.

already running on EngineGuild?

Every week, more mobile mechanics, storefront shops, and seasonal specialists trade their notebooks and voicemail boxes for EngineGuild. We’d love to show you why.
